In short

1. Who we are

Laby Kids is an educational iOS / iPadOS app developed and published by Alex Lombry (contact@nativlab.app). This Privacy Policy explains my data practices for the app.

2. Information I collect

I collect no personal information. Laby Kids is a fully offline app. It never transmits any data to me or to any third party.

Data type Collected? Details
Name, email, or contact info No account or registration exists
Location Never requested
Device identifiers (IDFA, etc.) No advertising frameworks used
Usage analytics No analytics SDK integrated
Crash reports No crash reporting service
Camera / microphone Not requested
Contacts / photos Not requested
Payment information Paid upfront via the App Store — no in-app purchases

3. On-device & iCloud storage

Laby Kids stores a small amount of data locally on your device using Apple's UserDefaults. If you're signed into iCloud, the same data — child profile names/emoji and progress stats — is also mirrored to Apple's NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore so it stays in sync across your own devices. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's iCloud infrastructure; I never see, receive, or store any of it on a server I control. All of it is automatically removed if you delete the app.

What is stored Purpose
Problems solved today Display daily progress on the splash screen
Day streak count Motivational streak counter
All-time 3-star win count Personal achievement display
Selected language override Remember the user's language choice across launches
Last selected game level & operations Restore settings between sessions
All stored data is anonymous and non-identifiable. iCloud sync, when active, moves data directly between your own devices through Apple's servers — it is never sent to me or to any other third party.

4. Third-party services

Laby Kids integrates no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services — no advertising networks, analytics platforms, social login providers, crash reporters, or payment processors. The only frameworks used are Apple's own system frameworks: SwiftUI, SpriteKit, AVFoundation, LocalAuthentication (for the parent dashboard's Face ID / Touch ID lock), StoreKit (for the App Store rating prompt), and iCloud's key-value store for cross-device sync.

5. Children's privacy

Laby Kids is designed specifically for children. I take children's privacy seriously and have built the app to require no personal information under any circumstances. Parents may optionally type a first name or nickname for each child profile — this stays on-device (and, if iCloud is enabled, syncs only between your own devices); it is never transmitted to me or to any third party.

The app is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's App Store guidelines for apps directed at children. Since no data is collected, no parental consent is required.

6. Network access

Laby Kids makes no network requests to me or to any third party. The only network activity the app can perform is Apple's own iCloud key-value sync, used solely to mirror child profiles and progress stats between your own devices signed into the same iCloud account. If iCloud is unavailable or you're offline, the app works exactly the same — sync simply resumes automatically once a connection returns. All game content, including mazes, questions, and translations, is bundled within the app itself.

7. Data retention

Since no data is transmitted off-device, there is nothing for me to retain or delete. The local UserDefaults data described in Section 3 is retained on-device until the app is uninstalled, at which point it is automatically removed by iOS.

8. Your rights

Because I collect no personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete on my end. If you wish to clear all local app data, simply delete and reinstall the app — iOS removes all associated UserDefaults data automatically.

9. Changes to this policy

If I update this Privacy Policy, the updated version will be published at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. I encourage you to review this page periodically. Material changes that affect how data is handled will be communicated through an app update notice.
